AudienceView Unlimited 7 Release Notes

The following table outlines the changes made in AudienceView 7.25.0:

NEW FEATURE

New Desktop Design - Legends, Application Security and Organization Management

The layout of the Legends, Application Security and Organization Management applications have been completely redesigned, but the functionality and workflows are relatively the same.

Some of the changes you will notice:

Buttons appear at the top of the page in a persistent button bar.

Infrequently used buttons appear in a menu.

Tabs appear at the top of the page in collapsible bar (scrolling down hides it, scrolling up reveals it).

The criteria on the search pages does not collapse. Once a search has been executed, the screen auto-scrolls to the results. The buttons used to scroll through pages of results appear at the bottom of the results table.

Fields have been logically grouped together.

The Displayed Label sections and Labels pages have been removed, and are now included as fields.

After clicking 'Create New', the button becomes a 'Start Over' button (until the item is saved), allowing you to clear all of the fields so you can start again.

The Legends, Application Security and Organization Management applications are responsive.

NEW FEATURE

Add a Search Objects Entity list containing the set of allowed searches for new BI.

Until now, the list of possible searches that the user could create was being retrieved from the System side of the Registry.

Now, the list is retrieved from the Registry side, providing a wider range of  possible searches (over 400 options).

 

To reduce that amount to a more usable selection, we added the Search Objects Entity user list, which will contain the most commonly used searches. Administrators can still add or remove entries from this list, as well as restrict entries for certain groups in the Application Security application so that different groups see different allowed searches.

Displays daily availability data for the selected venues and events for a given date range for use with Digonex's dynamic pricing

The ability to add group filters for to the TSsearchBO has been removed from the Application Security application Group|Permissions page. Instead, group filters can be added to the TSsearchBO using the new Groups|Search Filter page.

General Ledger Oracle 1 report

The General Ledger Oracle 1 report is a variation of the core General Ledger report, providing an output suitable for many Oracle and other detailed imports into General Ledger software. It has a summary line per 'GL Code' where transactions occurred for the given date. Transactional information on all sales and payments plus some predefined fields will be included for all items.

The Business Intelligence and Reports application Saved Bus. Intelligence|Saved Queries page and the My AudienceView application My Executive BIs|Saved pages display both new and old BIs. New BIs are displayed first and are categorized based on the value selected from the 'Search Objects Entity' dropdown when the queries were created.

 

New Order BIs under Orders header, while the old BIs will remain under the Order Queries header.

Add the ability to track goals on the events, and the Event Against Budget report.

 

You can now add goals to the Event Configuration application Events|Basic page where you can enter a start date for the goal, an amount of expected revenue, a count of seats sold and expenses.

You can add several goals for your event. For example, if your overall event goal is $10,000 and 1,000 seats. You expect to have a stong on-sale and sell 50% in the first few days, then a slow few months, with a last push in the week before the event.  You can break this down into three dates/amounts:

1.The on-sale date: 50% of the expected revenue ($5,000), 50% of expected attendance (500).

2.The halfway date: 20% of the expected revenue ($2,000), 20% of the expected attendance (200)

3.The week before the event: 30% of the expected revenue ($3,000), 30% of expected attendance (300)

The sum of the revenue amount would be $10,000, the sum of the count would be 1,000.

 

The sum values to date  will typically be used in reports (e.g. if it is after the halfway date, we would see 7,000 and 700 as the amount and count for budget. Check the individual report for information as to how this value will be used.)

 

This will allow us to track specific periods and the expected budget for the period in future reports.

 

If you only want to track a single total value, use the on-sale date and enter the total amount and count for your event and do not add additional values.

The new Event Against Budget report  takes advantage of the goals on events. It displays sales for sold or paid, comps, and helps with the budgeted amounts and counts. The report includes sales dates so that a particular period of time can be compared to the budgeted amount. The report supports the ability to use the full goal or goal for the period if goals are distributed.

Display only the relevant fields when scheduling a report.

When scheduling a report or saved report, only the 'Target' dropdown appears. Once you select an option, the applicable fields appear.

Add the Miscellaneous Item|Questions and Terms page to the Product Configuration application.

Users configure questions and terms and conditions to miscellaneous items using the Product Configuration application Miscellaneous Item|Questions and Terms page.

 

When a miscellaneous item is added to a shopping cart online, the terms and conditions for the item appear in a pop-up. Questions appear when the user proceeds to checkout.

 

When a miscellaneous item is added to the Customer Services application Order|Summary page, questions appear on the Order|Other|Items page.

IMPROVEMENT

Send scheduled reports and BI queries to multiple emails at once.

You can now enter multiple email addresses, separated by a hard return (pressing ENTER), when scheduling reports and BI queries. The display each address will change, and an X will appear at the end. Click the X to remove the email address. To update any email, double-click it, make your changes and press ENTER.

Questions assigned to miscellaneous items appear on the Customer Services application Order|Other|Items page once the item row is expanded.

Update the usability of the General Configuration application Passes|Basic page, and add new options for requiring images.

The General Configuration application Passes|Basic page has been updates so that available options are clearer. The 'Option' field has been separated into the Event Options and Customer Options sections.

The Event Options section allows you to select whether the pass can contain multiple admissions to the same event.

The Customer Options sections allows you to select whether customers can have more than one pass in the same pass 'Group' and if an ID photo is required.

Add the Allowed to skip required photo ID errors 'Option' to the Application Security application Roles|Basic page.

 

The Skip Pass ID Photo Requirement Errors 'Option' on the Application Security application Roles|Basic page, allows the role to create orders when customers are missing ID photos for their memberships. A warning message will appear instead of an error.

The warning can also be suppressed.
