The following table outlines the changes made in AudienceView 7.28.0:
NEW FEATURE |
New Desktop Design - Utilities The layout of the Utilities application has been completely redesigned, but the functionality and workflows are relatively the same. Some of the changes you will notice: •Execution options and buttons appear at the bottom of the pages in a consistent format. •Infrequently used buttons appear in a menu. •Tabs appear at the top of the page in collapsible bar (scrolling down hides it, scrolling up reveals it). •The criteria on the search pages does not collapse. Once a search has been executed, the screen auto-scrolls to the results. The buttons used to scroll through pages of results appear at the bottom of the results table. •Fields have been logically grouped together. •The Utilities application is responsive. |

NEW FEATURE |
Add a script to remove/update customer benefits. The new Remove or Update Customer Benefits script and script definition have been added. The script removes benefits or updates the benefits' 'Valid Until Date' for a set of customers.
The script expects a single BI or CSV source file containing a customer identifier. The identifier can be the customer number, email address, customer ID, or any of the three 'Legacy Customer Number' fields. The execution fields on the script job allow you to specify which benefit(s) to update, what action to take and the new 'Valid Until Date'.
If the specified benefit(s) are not found on a customer, the script will return an error for that customer, and move on to the next customer. |

NEW FEATURE |
Add a script to update most values on orders. The new Order Update script and script definition have been added. (The existing Order Update, script and script definition have been renamed to Order Price Type Update and Add Payment to better reflect what the script does.) The script is designed to update almost any values on a set of orders, including all marketing data values, delivery methods, order type, and comments/announcements.
The script does not update line items on orders like admissions or miscellaneous items.
The script expects a BI or CSV source file containing order number or order ID. |
AV-1354 |
NEW FEATURE |
Add a script to update customers information. A new Customer Update script and script definition have been added, replacing the existing Update Customer Marketing Data script.
The Customer Update script is designed to update almost any values on a set of customers, including all marketing data, default contact and default address, keyword, customer class, owner and type values.
The script does not update items with a many-to-one relationship to the customer, such as secondary contacts and addresses, customer payments, affiliations, notes, users, account links, entitlements or opportunities. There are other existing scripts can be used for many of these items. New values for single-value fields can be set as part of the source file. New values for multi-value fields can be selected in execution fields on the script job. |

|
NEW FEATURE |
Add a script to update miscellaneous item option availability. The new Update Miscellaneous Item Option Availability script and script definition allow you to update the availability status for options on miscellaneous items. For example, the script can be used to make a particular size of T-shirt unavailable.
The script expects a BI or CSV source file containing the miscellaneous item name, option name, and the status to be set. Alternatively, the option can be identified by using the miscellaneous item option 'Data 1' field. An execution field on the script job is used to select the identifier.
When using the miscellaneous item 'name' and 'Option Name' to identify the option to be updated, the script can only update one option per miscellaneous item. This issue will be resolved in a future release (AV-1988). |

NEW FEATURE |
Online - Accessible seat pop-up. Eighteen configurable articles have been added to each page in the purchase flow, allowing you to configure/communicate messages, directions and additional information.
The articles are named Info - <name of page>. If no content is added to the articles, the purchase flow appears exactly as it did before. Users can set the calendar and add content to the articles as required.
By adding classes to the article content will be displayed in different areas of the flow: •No Class: If no class is used, the content is displayed directly below the top menu bar with no margins. •info-article: If the info-article class is used, the content is displayed directly below the top menu bar with top and bottom margins. •info-article pull-out: If the info-article pull-out class is used, the content is hidden in a pull-out bar on the left side of the page. The pull-out bar is identified using a wheelchair icon. The icon can be changed through a CSS update. |

NEW FEATURE |
Add a script to update customer communication and marketing preferences. The new Update Customer Communication and Marketing Preferences script and script definition allow you to update communication preferences and marketing preferences on customer records based on a source list of customers and using execution fields on the script job.
The script expects a single BI or CSV source file containing a customer identifier. The identifier can be the customer number, email address, customer ID, or any of the three 'Legacy Customer Number' fields. If email address is used, the script checks for matches against the email, e_address1, e_address2 and e_address3 fields.
The script uses execution fields to determine which preferences to update, and whether to set them to checked or unchecked. |

IMPROVEMENT |
Online - Remove the Seat Result page.
The Seat Results page was used in three ways: 1.When a customer added a second event to their cart, the Seat Result page was used to display the newly selected seats along with the previously selected seats. This step is unnecessary, as the same information is displayed in the shopping cart. Now when customers select a second event, they will now proceed directly to the shopping cart (or to seat messages or add-ons, if they are configured). 2.The Seat Result page displayed the Captcha word verification. This function has now been moved to a new, dedicated page. 3.The Seat Result page displayed messages associated with the selected seats. This function has now been moved to a new, dedicated page.
No changes have been made to the bundle selection workflow. |
