NEW FEATURE

Online Exchanges

Customers can exchange their bundle tickets within their online accounts without having to contact the ticket office. You can control which events can be exchanged, the pricing and charges for exchanges, and even add exchange fees. The new tickets become part of the original bundle, even if the new event was not part of the original bundle.

If you are processing exchanges manually in the ticket office, this feature will save you time (and money).

It also provides a potential new revenue stream for anyone who wants to support exchanges in combination with an exchange fee.

Support for single event exchanges will be added in a future release.

IMPROVEMENT

Online - Exchange Overview handling messages

As part of the work on online exchanges wprl, some existing messages have been updated:.

1.shoppingCart.asp
The handling message was previously made up of two separate labels, one reading Handling: and the other reading Total order price does not include handling fees. The first label (Registry::EN::Application::Online::Shopping Cart::Handling) has been made blank. The second label (Registry::EN::Application::Online::Shopping Cart::Handling Note) has been updated to read Your order may be subject to a delivery fee.

2.mapSelect.asp (exchanges)
The exchange seat map fees message (Registry::EN::Application::Online::Exchanges::Exchange fees message) has been updated to read Your exchange may be subject to exchange and/or delivery fees.

 
When existing clients are upgraded, the standard process will be followed to check if the messages have been changed from the stock message. If they have been changed, they will not be updated. If they have not been changed, they will be updated as above.

IMPROVEMENT

Online - Display consistent venue information

All online pages will display the venue's 'Short Description', if it exists. If it does not, the venue 'Name' is displayed. The venue 'Long Description' is no longer displayed online

Online - Past events are being included in the Events and Tickets page.

To protect system performance, the number of admissions displayed in the online Events and Tickets page is limited to 1000. An issue was discovered where admissions for past events were being included in this limit, so that users with more than 1000 lifetime admissions in their accounts were not seeing all their upcoming events.

This behaviour has been improved by sorting the results returned from the database by recent event date first. So the recent 1000 admissions are returned. If a customer has more than 1000 admissions for events in the future, only the last 1000 admissions will be displayed.
