Devices are not complicated to set up, but do require some preparation before they can connect to your network and AudienceView Unlimited.
You will need:
•Static IPs
•Port information – ports 2070 - 2089
•Ethernet and power connections
•Device security plan
To prepare for the installation of EMV terminals:
1.Ensure that you have electrical power and an Ethernet connection at each station where a device will be located.
2.Assign a static IP/name for each EMV device
3.Map each IP address to a port from 2070 to 2089. These ports are already open for payment devices in Hosting. If these ports are not available for use on your network, contact your project team or customer success manager for assistance.
4.Program the information into the device following the instructions provided.
5.Ensure that you have a security plan for the devices:
a.In an open space, you will need to secure the device when unattended.
b.Where the user will use the device as a P2PE device, you will need to be able to pass the device to a customer for use.
6.Each computer terminal must have a separate EMV device.
