Once you have exported a configuration, you can import it via the Utilities - Data Management|Install page. For example, a venue can be exported from a staging environment and then it can be easily imported into the production environment.
Caution A particular configuration can only be imported once. If you must import a configuration a second time, you must save a copy of the item and then export it again. |
To import a configuration:
1.Export the configuration from your staging/older environment.
2.Open Utilities from the Desktop.
3.Select the Data Management tab.
The Data Management|Search page appears.
4.Select the Install tab.
The Data Management|Install page appears.
5.Enter a name of the installation job in the 'Name' field.
6.Copy/paste the exported script in the 'Script' field.
7.Click 'Run Script'.
Caution Once a script has been run, the screen will refresh, clearing the fields. Scripts run via the Data Management|Install page will not be returned in the search results on the Data Management|Search page. |
A window confirms that the installion script was executed.
8.Click 'OK'.
