Add a venue picker (magnifyingGlass-7.X) to Event Configuration application Events|Basic page.

This has been implemented in AudienceView 7.4.0.

A 'Create New' button has been added to the Event Configuration applicaiton Events|Search, and a venue picker (magnifyingGlass-7.X) has been added to the Event Configuration application Events|Basic page.

This allows you to search for and select a venue without loading one on the Venue|Basic page first (although events can still be created using the old workflow).

This field only appears when you are creating a new event. Once the event has been saved, the venue name appears as a link at the top of the page.

The 'Rows' field on the Event|GA Seats page and the simple pricing section on the Event|Pricing page are dependent on the venue. If you have entered information in these sections and then change the 'Venue', you will be presented with a warning message. Clicking 'OK' will discard the entered information.

Create a script and script definition to create events in a batch (Create Multiple Events).

This has been implemented in AudienceView 7.4.0.

A Create Multiple Events script and script definition have been created.

They are designed to create multiple events based on an existing event. This script and script definition will become the basis for the upcoming Batch Event Creation tool, which will be accessed through the Event Configuration application. However the script definition can also be used with a standalone script job. The script expects a CSV source with the event codes (event_code) and dates (start_time, end_time and doors_open - optionally) for each event, and uses a designated existing event as the source for all other values. If start_time, end_time or doors_open time are not provided in the CSV source file, these values will be blank for the created events.

Detailed documentation will be provided in the near future (AVD-12196).

Known Limitations:

1.Saving changes to an existing script job (i.e. clicking 'Apply' on) that uses the Create Multiple Events script definition fails with due to a primary key constraint. When this happens, the script job will need to be recreated. This issue is being tracked as AVD-9855.

Refactor how doWork methods are processed: to be asynchronous, synchronized by session and scalable across multiple threads

This has been implemented in AudienceView 7.4.0.

There is a new configuration parameter in default.json for av-avon called:

"doWorkWorkerThreadCount": 4

This number indicates how many worker threads van be created to handle simultaneous processing of doWork method calls from different sessions at the same time. It is recommended that this number does not exceed the number of cores on the system, and possibly even one less than that.

The default value is 4.
