Using the P2PE or EMV Terminal

P2PE Devices

Bluefin is not a terminal based payment gateway. Select a terminal only if a physical terminal is used. Physical terminals include a P2PE device or a chip/EMV terminal. You may only select one terminal.

 

When you log into the Desktop, select the appropriate ‘Payment Terminal’ in the Settings menu:

P2PE Devices

When you make a payment, you will enter any of the information you would normally enter manually other than the card number and expiration date. You may have optionally added CVV to the entry on the device.

 

Steps:

1.Clck 'Add Payment'.

2.Use 'Click to Swipe Card' button

3.Click 'Add Payment and Create' or click 'Add Payment' and then 'Create'.

Anytime you want to use the device, whether you are swiping a card or keying in the card number, you must use the 'Click to Swipe Card' button.

When you click the 'Click to Swipe Card' the button will turn yellow

Swipe the card or enter the payment details on the device.

When you click the final enter or complete the swipe, the button will turn green.

You can click 'Add Payment' or 'Add Payment and Create'.

EMV Devices

You will always leave the credit card information such as card number, expiry date, and CVV code blank. You will essentially create the order with blank credit card information. In doing this, the EMV device will light up and prompt the user for card entry.

 

Steps:

1.Clck 'Add Payment', leaving all fields as populated by the application

2.Click 'Add Payment and Create' or click 'Add Payment' and then 'Create'.
