To install DataWedge and launch it automatically after booting the mobile computer:
1.Download the DataWedge version applicable for the MC50 model and operating system from support.symbol.com.
2.Unzip the DataWedge download to a folder on a host computer.
3.Choose an option:

copy \Bin\PPC\DataWedge.exe from the host computer to the \Application folder on the mobile computer. |
Windows CE 5.0 |
copy \Bin\WCE\DataWedge.exe to the \Application folder on the mobile computer. |
4.Copy \Application\DataWedge.cpy from the host computer to the \Application folder on the mobile computer.
5.Copy \Application\Startup\DataWedge.run from the host computer to the \Application\Startup folder on the mobile computer.
6.Restart the mobile computer.
Once you restart the mobile computer, the DataWedge icon (
) appears in the system tray. Clicking the icon opens the DataWedge menu. To enable barcode capture, continue to Enabling DataWedge for Barcode Capture.
If the DataWedge icon does not appear in the system tray, browse to the \Application folder and launch the DataWedge executable.
