If you are using the MC3090 model, it is recommended that you use Symbol PocketBrowser for barcode capture instead of DataWedge and Internet Explorer. Symbol PocketBrowser maximizes the screen real estate by hiding the Start menu and command bar, and has integrated bar code scanning. When installed, ticket scanners launch the Symbol PocketBrowser as their browser and continue to scan as normal. You can also use the Symbol PocketBrowser with the MC50 model if you want to take advantage of these features.

Determining Whether to Install Symbol PocketBrowser
To determine whether you need to install Symbol PocketBrowser, check for the \Application\SymbolPB folder on your mobile computer. If this folder is not present, continue to Installing Symbol PocketBrowser.
