Summary of User/Organization Actions and Expected Behaviour

The following table outlines a number of user actions and the expected out comes as they relate to organizations:

Expected System Behaviour

The user is created online

The group(s) assigned to the Registry - Registry::EN::Business Objects::TScustomerBO::Users::Groups node's 'Default Value' field are set on the new user and made active for the session.

The user is created through the Desktop.

The group(s) assigned to the Registry - Registry::EN::Business Objects::TSuserBO::User node's 'Default Value' field are set on the user.

The user is added to an organization via the Desktop's Organization Management - Organizations|Users page.

The group(s) assigned to the Registry - Registry::EN::Business Objects::TSorganizationBO::User Organization::Groups node's 'Default Value' for the organization are added to the user.

The user is added to an organization through the Desktop's Application Security - Users|Organizations page

The group(s) assigned to the Registry - Registry::EN::Business Objects::TSuserBO::User Organization::Groups node's 'Default Value' field for the organization are added to the user.

An existing user with no organizations logs in (all interfaces).

The group(s) assigned to the user without an organization are made active for the session (the groups visible on the Application Secuirty - User|Basic page).

An existing user with one organization logs in (all interfaces).

The organization is set on the session, and the group(s) configured for the user (without an organization) and the group(s) configured for the current user of the current organization are all made active for the session.

An existing user with multiple organizations logs in (all interfaces)

The first organization found is set on session, and the group(s) configured for the user (without an organization) and the group(s) configured for the current user for the current organization are all made active for the session

An existing user with multiple organizations who is logged in selects a different organization (all interfaces)

The selected organization is set on the session, and the group(s) configured for the user (without an organization) and the group(s) configured for the current user for the current organization are all made active for the session

An existing user changes a group's configuration for a user and organization through the Desktop.

The affected group(s) for the user for the organization are updated; the new groups are not made active for the user until the user logs out and back in (starts a new session).
