Organizations contain all of the information about your event owners (promoters, producers, internal departments).

To create an organization via the Desktop:

1.If one does not already exist, create a customer for the organization's main contact via Customer Services .

2.Open Organization Management from the Desktop.
The Organizations|Search page appears.

3.Click 'Create New'.
The Organizations|Basic page appears.

4.Enter the appropriate information in the following fields:

a.Organization Name: Enter the customer-facing name for the organization (the school/company name).

b.Profile Name: Enter the customer-facing name for the profile (the faculty/division name).

c.Description: Enter any relevant information about the organization. This is customer-facing.

d.Organization Customer: Click magnifyingGlass-7.X to search for the organization's main contact.
Once a customer has been added, the read-only 'Contact Name', 'Address Street', 'Address City, Province/State' and 'Address Country/Code' fields will be automatically populated.

e.Email: Enter the email address that customers will use to contact the event owner.

f.Website: Enter the full URL to the organization's website.

g.Twitter Account: Enter the Twitter handle (including the @ symbol) associated with the organization.

h.Facebook Page: Enter the full URL to the Facebook page associated with the organization.

i.Instagram Account: Enter the username for the Instagram page associated with the organization.

j.Google Analytics Tracking Code: Enter the Google Analytics account code that the event owner wants to associate with the organization.

k.Category: Enter the category field is used to categorize/group event to help filter customer searches.

l.Department: Enter the department (English) that the organization is associated with. This enables online to filter organizations.

m.Location: Enter the geographic location for this organization.

n.Contracts: Select the contract(s) that are associated with the event owner organization.

o.Tax ID:

p.URL for Published Profile: Click magnifyingGlass-7.X to search for the article used for the organization's profile page. When creating an organization in the Desktop, you should select one of the Profile Template articles.

q.Profile Invitation Template: Select the default email template that will be used to invite additional users to join the organization's profile and to manage its events.
This is set to Invitation (text/html), by default.

r.Profile Access: Select how the organization's profile can be accessed:

oPrivate: The organization's profile will not be visible in search results, but can be accessed via a direct link.

oPublic: The organization's profile will be visible in search results and can be accessed.

s.Profile State: Determines the state of the organization's profile and who can view it:

oDraft: The organization's profile can only be viewed by the event owner/system owner.

oPublished: The organization's profile has been accepted by the system owner and now can be viewed online.

t.Logo [1-2]: Click magnifyingGlass-7.X to select an image. If you want to use an online image, enter the absolute URL (including https:// or http://).
The image will display when the article is returned in search results using the Search Results Widget - Detailed and Search Results Widget - Detailed, Grid Layout widgets. For more information, refer to Inserting the Search Results Widgets.
Acceptable image types include .JPG, .GIF and .PNG. For more information, refer to Search Images.
Click linkIcon-7.X to ensure that the URL is linking to the correct image.

5.Expand the Payment Information - o Methods section.

6.Click 'Add Settlement Method'.
A new settlement method row appears.

7.Select Cheque from the 'Payment Method' dropdown.
The funds owed to the organization will mailed as a cheque.

8.Select the settlement method that you want to use as the default from the 'Default Settlement Method' dropdown. This is the method in which the organization will use to receive event settlement payments.
This dropdown is populated with the settlement methods that have been added in the Payment Information section.

9.Select the 'Keyword(s)' to be associated with the organization. Keywords can be used to recommend events to customers.

10.Optionally, add additional users.

11.Click 'Create'.
A window confirms that the organization was created.

12.Click 'OK'.

Now that the organizations has been created, you can add marketing contacts.
