The Maximum Number of Records that can be Processed

Scroll Previous Top Next More

Max rows are the number of records returned by searches, displayed on history pages, and how many records can be processed at a time in Utilities.

By default, a maximum of 1,000 records can be processed at a time. You can modify this number in the Registry under Registry::EN::Collection Objects::TS[module]CO::Query::Max Rows where [module] represents the CO subsystem that you want to work with.

caution_outline

Changing some of these values could affect some core BIs used in Customer Services searches. This can negatively impact performance.

Alternatively, you can amend the max rows value on each BI as needed.

It may be tempting to set the 'Max Rows' to a number greater than 1,000, but it can have a very negative impact on your system's performance.

Keep the global Max Rows set at 1,000, (Registry - Registry::Cellection Objects nodes 'max_rows' field) and only increase individual 'Max Rows' when processing more than 1,000 records in Utilities. Even then, only increase the number of records that you need to process, and reset it to 1000 when you are done.

info_outline

There is a difference between 'Max Rows' and 'Extract Max Rows'.

'Extract Max Rows' controls the number of records that are output when extracting a BI query.
