Enabling Google Analytics for a Specific Article

You can configure different Google Analytics accounts for a specific article, allowing you to more accurately collect and report on more granular user traffic information.

Any information set Google Analytics information set against an article will override the information set against a site.

For more information regarding the creation of a Google Analytics account, refer to Google Analytics.

To enable Google Analytics for a specific article:

1.Ensure that you have enabled Google Analytics for online.

2.Ensure that you have selected Google Analytics from the 'Applications' field on the Sites|Applications page.

3.Open Content Management from the Desktop.

4.Select the Articles tab.
The Articles|Search page appears.

5.Search for and select the article that you want to work with.
The Articles|Basic page appears.

6.Select the Applications tab.
The Articles|Applications page appears.

7.Select Google Analytics from the 'Applications' field.

8.Click 'Add Attribute'.
A new attribute row appears.

9.Select Google Analytics Account Code from the 'Name' dropdown.

10.Enter the Google Analytics account code that you received when you created the account in the 'Value' field.

11.If your organization is using Google Analytics affiliations:

a.Click 'Add Attribute'.

b.Select Google Analytics Affiliation from the 'Name' dropdown.

c.Enter the Google Analytics affiliation that you want to use for the article in the 'Value' field.

12.Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the article was updated.

13.Click 'OK'.
