•Adding an Image or a Logo to an Item
•Inserting an Image in an Article or Message
There are two ways that you can upload an image from your computer depending on where you are in the Desktop:
•Using the button next to image/logo fields
•Using the button when creating an article or a message.
Information Image file and folder names must not include any spaces. Spaces in the folder name causes error 4004: The Event Logo field must contain an HTTPS URL or a relative path to an image. |
Images/logos can be added to almost any configurable item (venues, events, delivery methods, stored value items) by clicking next to the field.
Once the Content Storage window appears:
1.Click 'Upload'.
The Upload New File section expands.
2.Click 'Choose File'.
The Choose File to Upload window appears.
3.Search for and select the image that you want to upload.
4.Click 'Upload Selected File'.
The image appears, highlighted in blue, in the selected folder.
5.Select the appropriate image from the image folders. Double-click on the image or select it and click 'Upload'.
Information The server will only upload .GIF, .JPG and .PNG image file formats. For more information, refer to Configuring the Uploading of Images and Files. |
The relative URL to the image appears in the field.
To insert images that have been saved to your computer to an article or message:
1.Place the cursor where you would like to insert the image.
2.Click .
The Image Properties light box appears.
3.Click 'Browse Server' to search for the image that you want to insert. If the image has already been uploaded, go to Step 12.
The Content Storage window appears.
4.Click 'Upload'.
The Upload New File section expands.
5.Click 'Choose File'.
The Choose File to Upload window appears.
6.Search for and select the image that you want to upload.
7.Click 'Upload Selected File'.
The image appears, highlighted in blue, in the selected folder.
8.Select the appropriate image from the image folders. Double-click on the image or select it and click 'Upload'.

The image URL appears in the 'URL' field and the image appears in the 'Preview' field.
9.Ensure that the image URL is an absolute path containing http: or https: (depending on your organization).
Information If the image that you have inserted does not contain http: or https: the image will not render in the Message|Basic nor Article|Text page and you will receive Information Message 4304 when you try to create, save or send a message. |
10.Ensure you enter descriptive alt text for the image in the 'Alternative Text' field.
Alt image text is used to briefly describe what the image depicts if users cannot view an image (the image does not display or if the user utilizes a screen reader). It is often an accessibility requirement.
11.To adjust the dimensions of the image:
a.To ensure that the pixel dimension ratios of the image remain the same, click to lock the ratios.
If you see , the ratios are already locked.
b.To adjust the pixel dimensions to your own ratio, click to unlock the ratios
If you see , the ratios are already unlocked.
c.To reset the pixel dimension ratios to those of the original image, click .
d.Adjust the height and width pixel values in the 'Height' and 'Width' fields respectively.
The image size is updated in the 'Preview' field.
12.To adjust the appearance and alignment of the image:
a.Border: Enter the size of the border. If you do not want a border around the image, leave the field blank.
b.HSpace: Enter the horizontal spacing value
c.VSpace: Enter the vertical spacing value.
d.Align: Select the alignment for any surrounding text.
As you adjust the image, the 'Preview' field is updated.
13.Click 'OK'.
The image is inserted within the text.
14.Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the message/article was updated.
15.Click 'OK'.
