When creating a message (Correspondence - Message|Build page) or an article (Content Management - Article|Text page), you can format your text using the rich text or the source editor. Some other fields in the Desktop may offer some limited rich text options too.
The rich text editor allows you perform the standard editing functions found in most word processors: format text, styles, fonts and sizes. You can also insert images, page breaks, links, special characters and more.
Refer to the End-User Features section of CKEditor User's Guide for more information about the rich text options.
The source editor can be used to disambiguate the source code for your text. When using the rich text editor, there are custom tags that the system uses to create message formats and layouts. These can become ambiguous over the course of editing the text.
Caution The source editor uses XHTML only and converts all rich text into the supporting XHTML. You should only use the source editor in cases where you need to disambiguate your rich text. Do not attempt to use the source editor unless you have knowledge in XHTML usage. For more information, refer to an XHTML source guide like the one found at w3schools - XHTML. |
The following tags are automatically included in articles and messages. They do not need to be added:
•DOCTYPE
•HTML
•HEAD
•BODY
