Setting Target Destinations

Setting up HTTPS and SFTP target destinations allow users to simply select the destination when they schedule an HTTPS or SFTP report or BI. They do not need to to know the server name, user name or password, which improves security and usability.

If there are no targets set up, users can still enter the information, but you will be required to set up destinations in a future release..

To set HTTPS and SFTP destinations:

1.Open the Registry from the Desktop.

2.Navigate to the System::Configuration::Export Targets node.

3.Click 'New Node'.

4.Complete the following:

a.Address: Enter the URL of the target server (without https://).

b.Label: Enter the name that you want to appear in the dropdown.

c.Password: Enter the password for the site secure server/site.

d.Target: Select HTTPS or SFTP.

e.Username: The user name for the for secure server/site.

If you only have one target it is selected by default.

Ensure your report or query has results.

Try executing the report or query manually by clicking 'Execute' for reports or 'Extract' for business intelligence.

If you can’t connect to the server, ensure that:

oThe username and password are correct

oThe proper URL has been entered in the 'Address' field

oThe SFTP server firewall has an exception entered for the AudienceView IP address (contact support for the proper IP)

If the file transfers successfully, ensure that:

oThe report or query is properly scheduled

oA support ticket has been created to check that the scheduler is running as expected

My file is overwritten every day

Update the 'Target File Name' to include one or more of:

o%d: Adds the date to the file name in the YYYYMMDD format.

o%t: Adds the time to the file name in the HHMMSS format.

2.Ensure SFTP is selected in the 'Target' field

3.Save your query.
