Repricing acts as an enhancement to promotions and limits, automatically adjusting admission prices in the shopping cart to provide the best available and applicable price. This can sometime result in a higher price being applied.
Repricing takes place when:
•The best, current and active promotion is not applied to the admission
•The promotion is no longer applicable to the admission (a change in the shopping cart or price chart)
•The admission with a promotion is removed from the shopping cart, making another admission eligible for the promotion
•The promotion is more expensive than the standard price (the standard price will be applied)
•The Limits are met or no longer met ('Min/Order')
oIf an 'Increment' is set to provide a promotion for every two admissions a custoemr purchases, the promotion would be automatically applied or removed with the addition or removal of the second admission
•The price chart is updated and any other changes made by an admin that affects the price of an in-flight admission will reprice the admission. If the price of an in-flight admission is increased, the higher price will be applied.
•Bundles are not affected by repricing
•If a promotion spans across different price zones, repricing does not necessarily provide the best promotion based on the difference between the two zones' standard and promotion prices.
•If an online user does not want to utilize their promotion there is no way to revert a repriced admission back to standard price.
If repricing is not enabled, admission prices will not be automatically adjusted at all.
If a customer no longer meets the cap requirement or the promotion was applied to an incorrect admission, an error will occur and the admission cannot purchased.
If there is an eligible promotion that will lower the price but it is not used, or a promotion price is more than the standard price, no adjustments will be made and the customer will pay the higher price.
Caution You should only enable/disable repricing after hours because it could still affect bulk operations such as renewals. Running renewals and changing this option at the same time, might result in some orders being repriced while others not. If repricing is enabled/disabled while there are orders in-flight, the change will not be applied to the in-flight orders unless the orders are reloaded. |
