The Regional and Language Options in the Control Panel enable you to change the format Windows uses to display dates, times, currency amounts, large numbers and numbers with decimal fractions. Use Regional and Language Options to change the date and time format settings to reflect the default date and time format defined within the Registry. To change date and time settings:
1.Open Regional and Language Options in Control Panel (click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and Language Options).
2.On the Regional Options tab, in the Standards and formats section, select the locale whose date and time format you want to use. It is recommended that you only use numeric formats for displaying dates and times, and avoid using abbreviations or full names of the day or month.
3.If you want to:
▪Change the date and time settings: Proceed to Step 4
▪Leave the default settings based on the selected locale: Proceed to Step 7
4.Click 'Customize'.
The Customize Regional Options dialog box appears.
5.Using the Date and Time tabs, select the format. If you do not see the format that you want, refer to the Windows online help for guidelines.
6.Click 'OK'. The Customize Regional Options dialog box closes and the Regional and Language Options dialog box becomes active.
The next steps must be performed to ensure that Windows applies your settings to the default user account and to all new user accounts on this computer.
7.Click the Advanced tab.
8.Under Default user account settings, click 'Apply' all settings to the current user account and to the default user profile. Windows prompts you to apply these settings to the default user profile.
9.Click 'OK' to continue.
10.Click 'OK' to apply your changes.
11.Restart IIS.
