Once the script and script definitions have been configured and the source files are on the server, you can create a data management job.
To create a new data management job:
1.Open Utilities from the Desktop.
2.Select the Data Management tab.
The Data Management|Search page appears.
3.Click 'Create New'.
The Data Management|Schedule page appears.
4.Enter a unique name for the data management job in the 'Name' field.
Do not use special characters like &, ( or ). If you do, the links to failure files on the Data Management|Results page will not work.
5.Optionally, enter a brief description of the data management job in the 'Description' field.
6.Select the script definition from the 'Script Definition' dropdown.
7.Click 'Continue'.
The applicable fields are loaded and the 'Script Definition' field becomes read-only.
Hint You cannot change the 'Script Definition' once it has been selected and 'Continue' has been clicked. If the incorrect 'Script Definition' is selected, return to the Data Management|Search page and click 'Create New'. |
8.Schedule the data management job.
9.Complete any applicable execution fields in the job criteria section.
10.Select/enter your data source(s) in the job data sources section.
If you are using a BI as a source file, ensure you select a CSV 'Export Template'. |
11.Click 'Create'.
A window confirms that the data management job was created.
12.Click 'OK'.
Information If HTTPS Server or SFTP Server were selected from the 'Source Type' field on the General Configuration - Scripts Definition|Edit page, users will be prompted to enter a 'Source File Name', 'Username' and 'Password' when the data management job is created. The 'Source File Name' should be the server name and the path to the source file in the format serverName/pathToFile (sftp.audienceview.com/SFTPfolder/source.csv). The 'Username' and 'Password' are the valid credentials for the remote server. |
