Recommendations are used to sell additional events to customers who already have items in their shopping carts or who are accessing one of their My Account pages. Recommendations are displayed by matching the keywords that have been configured on the events in the customer’s shopping cart against keywords that have been configured against other on-sale events.
To configure recommendations:
1.Allow customers to see recommendations
You can display recommended events to customers based on keywords on the event and the customer.
To display recommendations online:
1.Open Application Security from the Desktop.
2.Select the Group tab.
The Group|Search page appears.
3.Search for and select the group that you want to work with. By default, all customer are assigned to the Anonymous WebSales group. Once they log in they are assigned to the WebSales group.
The Group|Basic page appears.
4.Select the Content tab.
The Group|Content page appears.
5.Select the Online property.
6.Hold CTRL and select where you want recommendations you want to display:
•shoppingCart Recommendations will display recommendations in the shopping cart
•My Account Recommendations will display recommendations throughout the customer My Account pages.
Customer who have not logged-in (Anonymous WebSales) will not see My Account recommendations
7.Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the group was updated.
8.Click 'OK'.

2.Specify the number of recommended events (default is 5)
To configure the number of recommendations to display on the shopping cart/My Account pages:
1.Open the Registry from the Desktop.
2.Navigate to the Registry::EN::Business Objects::TScontentBO::Site::Recommended Quantity node.
3.Specify the number of recommendations that will be displayed to customers in the 'Default Value' field.
The default setting is 5.

Hint
To turn off the recommendations function, enter 0 in the 'Default Value' field.

4.Click 'Apply'.
A banner confirms that the Registry was updated.
5.Click 'OK'.

Information
Changing the 'Recommended Quantity' field value will determine the number of recommendations that are displayed in both the shopping cart and the My Account pages.

3.Add keywords on the events
4.Create a Feature article for your recommendations using the appropriate keywords that were defined against the event.

Caution
Only one list can be bound to a field at any given time. Binding the Performance Keyword list to the Content Management - Articles|Basic page's 'Keyword' field could limit the available keywords for all articles.
