Event types enable you to group similar events. For example, events that have the same price, hold and fill zones.

For example, if the top price seating area is larger for matinee events than for evening events, Matinee and Evening event types could be created. This would enable you to use different templates for the events.

Once you create an event type, you can then associate it with a series within Event Configuration.

To configure event types:

1.Open General Configuration from the Desktop.

2.Select the Lists tab.
The Lists|Search page appears.

3.Search for and select the Performance Types list.
The Lists|Basic page appears.

4.Select the Entries tab.
The Lists|Entries page appears.

5.In the 'Key' field, enter the unique identifier for the value that you are adding to this list.

6.Click 'Add Entry'.
The new entry is added to the list entries table.

7.In the English column, specify the value that you are adding to this list.

8.Optionally, you can enter a number in the 'Sorting Hint' field.
This will determine the order of the list’s entries in fields and dropdowns.

9.For any additional values that you are adding to the list, repeat the process from Step 6.

10.Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the list was updated.

11.Click 'OK'.
