An account linkage type identifies a parent/child relationship between customers. For example, employer (parent)/employee (child) or organization (parent)/member (child). When customers are linked, they both remain intact, and the links appear on the Customer Services - Customer|Links page.

Creating an Account Linkage Type
To create a new account linkage type:
1.Open General Configuration from the Desktop.
2.Select the Account Linkage Types tab.
The Account Linkage Types|Select page appears.
3.Click 'Create New'.
The Account Linkage Types|Edit page appears.
4.Complete the page.
5.Click 'Create'.
A window confirms that the account linkage was created.
6.Click 'OK'. |
Deleting an Account Linkage Type
You can delete an account linkage type provided that the account linkage type is not in use.
To delete an account linkage type:
1.Open General Configuration from the Desktop.
2.Select the Account Linkage Types tab.
The Account Linkage Types|Search page appears.
3.Search for and select the account linkage type that you want to delete.
The Account Linkage Types|Edit page appears.
4.Click 'Delete'.
A window prompts you to confirm the deletion of the selected account linkage type.
5.Click 'OK'.
A window confirms that the account linkage was deleted.
6.Click 'OK'. |
