When creating a delivery method, you can specify which roles will have access to the delivery method. Once created, the delivery method can be assigned to events, bundles and promotions.

A delivery method will appear on an order if:

The user's role allows the delivery method.

The delivery method’s activation date, if specified, has been reached. This is a date relative to the event’s start date/time from which a delivery method will appear on an order.

The delivery method’s cut off date, if specified, has not been reached. This is a date relative to the event’s start date/time after which the delivery method will no longer be available for use. For example, up to three weeks prior to the actual event date/time, tickets may still be sent to the customer via mail/post.

Every event or item on the order allows the delivery method.

Caution

If the Delivery Method Strategy in the Registry is set to Union, a particular delivery method will appear on an order if it is allowed on at least one of the order’s events or items. This includes delivery methods assigned to an event's price type even if the delivery methods are not assigned to the event itself.

If the strategy is set to Intersection, a particular delivery method will only display if every event and item on the order allows the delivery method. For information on configuring the Delivery Method Strategy, refer to Configuring the Delivery Method Strategy.
