Limits can be used to restrict the number of admissions that can be purchased across specific price types per event, series, series group, week of the year (beginning Sunday) or in general (system). It is possible for customers to exceed these limits through the use of promotions and benefits. For more information and a detailed example, refer to Promotion Limits.

 

Limits are not counted retroactively, but from the time they are applied to the price type. If you sell 25 tickets before you add a 100 ticket 'Cap', a total of 125 tickets in that price type can be sold.
