Disabling the Save Payment Details Option

When making a payment online using a payment method with a 'Storage Type' of Saveable, customers have the option of saving the payment details (masked credit card numbers and expiry date).

To disable customers' ability to save payment information in My Account while allowing users to save the information in the Desktop:

1.Open Application Security from the Desktop.

2.Select the Group tab.
The Group|Search page appears.

3.Search for and select the WebSales group.
The Group|Basic page appears.

4.Select the Content tab.
The Group|Content page appears.

5.Select the Online property.

6.Hold CTRL and deselect the Customer Saved Payment option.

7.Click 'Apply'
A window confirms that the group was updated.

8.Click 'OK'.

 

 

To disable the 'Save Payment Details?' checkbox on the Billing Info page (orderContact.asp):

 

1.Open Application Security from the Desktop.

2.Select the Group tab.
The Group|Search page appears.

3.Search for and select the WebSales group.
The Group|Basic page appears.

4.Select the Attributes tab.
The Group|Attributes page appears.

5.Select the TSorderBO property.

6.Click 'Add Rule'.

7.Complete the following fields:

a.Attribute Name: Select Payments: Save Payment Details.
If the dropdown is empty, click magnifyingGlass-7-X to select the attribute from the Attribute dialog box.

b.Mode: Selecting the following:

I.Readable: No.

II.Writeable: No.

8.Click 'Apply'
A window confirms that the group was updated.

9.Repeat the process from Step 3 this time searching for the Anonymous Websales group.
