AudienceView Unlimited 7  Product Guides

The following instructions use Fortress as an example, but you can interface with many third-party systems.

To integrate with Fortress:

1.Configure the Fortress gateway. You need to specify the location of the service AudienceView Unlimited should use when communicating with Fortress. You can do this by specifying the service’s URL within the Fortress Gateway’s URL key. The key is located in the Registry - System::Configuration::Gateways::Fortress node.

2.Configue a ticket stock to be used when printing to Fortress. You need to define a type of ticket stock (usually card stock) to represent the pass cards that will be printed from Fortress. You can to this by adding an entry to the stock list in General Configuration - Lists|Entries.
For more information, refer to .

3.Configure the printers that should be use when printing Fortress-compatible passes. You need to configure the printers that represent the Fortress printers that will be printing the pass cards. You can do this by creating new printer nodes in Registry - System::Configuration::Printers node.

4.Configure the delivery methods that should be used for providing customers with Fortress-compatible passes and tickets. You need to configure delivery methods that, when used, indicate that the items on the order should be sent to Fortress for printing. You can do this using the General Configuration - Delivery Methods|Basic page.

5.Configure ticket for scanning by Fortress-compatible devices. If you are printing single tickets with Fortress barcodes on them, you need to configure ticket templates. You can do this using the General Configuration - Tickets|Basic page.

6.Configure passes for printing and scanning by Fortress-compatible devices. You need to configure the passes that will be printed through Fortress. This is a two-step process that includes creating the pass ticket template and then the pass itself.

7.Configure events and bundles. You need to create the events and bundles that will be printed to Fortress. You can do this using Event Configuration and Product Configuration.
For more information, refer to Event Configuration - Events and Product Configuration - Bundles.
There are some extra steps that must be followed to print single tickets properly.

8.Add the Fortress-compatible passes and tickets to the corresponding events, bundles, and miscellaneous items. You need to attach the Fortress-compatible tickets and passes to the bundles and events that you want to print through Fortress. You also need to attach the passes to any miscellaneous items you want to sell in order to provide customers with passes. You can do this using the Product Configuration - Bundles|Details, Event Configuration - Events|Basic and Product Configuration - Miscellaneous Items|Details pages.

9.Exclude events, if necessary. If there are any events that you do not want to go through the gateway (do not want to print in Fortress), you need to indicate them on the Fortress gateway node. You can do this using by adding the event’s code in the on the Fortress gateway node in Registry - System::Configuration::Gateways::Fortress node 'Excluded Events' field.
