You need to add the Fortress-compatible passes and ticket templates to events and bundles, depending on how you want them to print. You need to add a Fortress-compatible pass to a miscellaneous item if you want customers to be able to acquire the pass by buying the miscellaneous item. Below are some typical scenarios.

Events

If you want admissions to an event to be printed as paper tickets, attach a ticket template, as configured in Configuring Ticket Templates with Fortress Barcodes, only (no eligible passes).

If you want admissions to an event to be included on a pass card, add the Fortress-compatible pass, as configured in Configuring Fortress Passes, as an eligible pass.

If you want the admissions to be able to be printed as paper tickets or on a pass, attach both a ticket template and a Fortress-compatible pass.

You can associate ticket templates and passes with events using the Event Configuration - Events|Basic page's 'Ticket Template' and 'Eligible Passes' fields.

Bundles

If you want admissions for a bundle to be included on a pass, you need to add the pass as an eligible pass.

The assigned pass is the one that the customer is assigned after purchasing the bundle. Eligible passes are those that can accept the bundle’s admissions (contain the admission information). If you want a customer be able to buy a bundle and receive the admissions loaded on a pass, configure the bundle with the same assigned and eligible pass.

You can associate passes with bundles using the Product Configuration - Bundles|Details page's 'Eligible Passes' and 'Assigned Pass' fields.

Miscellaneous Items

If you want a customer to be able to acquire a pass by buying a miscellaneous item (membership), you need to add the pass as an assigned pass on the miscellaneous item.

Once the customer has acquired the pass, admissions can be assigned to it as long as the admissions are for events and bundles that have this pass configured as an eligible pass.

You can associate passes with miscellaneous items using the Product Configuration - Miscellaneous Items|Details page's 'Assigned Pass' field.
