Enabling reCAPTCHA v2

The bot protection functionality is used to prevent the unfair use of automated programs and bots from making purchases.

Whenever customers attempt to add tickets, gifts, miscellaneous items or stored value items to an order for the first time or when they add or update their saved payment methods, the hc.inc.asp page is displayed prompting them prove that they are not a robot.

Registering Your Site

Before you can enable Google's reCAPTCHA you will need a Google account. We recommend using either your existing Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics account, or creating a specific account. This way you can receive information on how bots are attempting to interface with your sites.

Once you have your Google account ready:

1.Navigate to Google reCAPTCHA and log in.

2.Complete the following:

a.Label: Enter your corporate name. All of your domains and subdomains will use the same reCAPTCHA account.

b.reCAPTCHA type: Select reCAPTCHA v2, and leave "I'm not a Robot" Checkbox selected.

c.Domains: all of your domains in the domain area, one domain per line (yourAVurl.com):

Do not include the port in the domain name (yourAVurl.com:8080).

Do not list sites that were created after a slash (yourAVurl.com/site).

Do list sites that precede the main domain name (yourAVurl.com and site.yourAVurl.com).

d.Accept the reCAPTCHA Terms of Service: Read and accept the terms of service.

3.Click 'Submit'.

Once you have registered your site, you will receive a ‘Site Key’ and a ‘Secret Key’ that you will need to add to the Registry.

Enabling reCAPTCHA v2
