Before creating seats, ensure you have:
•Create at least one section for the venue.
•Create at least one screen for the venue.
Information Seats are not required for General Admission venues or sections. |
Before adding and laying out your seating within your venue, you must consider and plan how the seats are to be filled when using the best available functionality:
•In which order will sections be filled. Number the sections in order that you want them filled, where 1 represents the section to be filled first.
•Within a section, in which order will rows be filled? Should the row closest to the top of the screen be filled first or last (that is, fill rows from top to bottom or bottom to top)? Number the rows in a section in the order that you want them filled, where 1 represents the row to be filled first.
•Within a row, in which order will a seat be filled? Will the seat closest to the left be filled first or last (that is, fill seats from left to right or right to left)? Number the seats within a row in the order that you want them filled, where 1 represents the seat to be filled first.
Have this information written down for reference when creating seats.
•You cannot create a block of seats at one time that covers multiple sections.
•If the seats do not fit into the screen, you can adjust the X and Y size of the venue on the Venue|Basic page. However, if you adjust this size, you may need to resize and reposition you screens using the Venue|Screens page.
•Because customers and ticket sellers may use the venue map to purchase seats, ensure that the virtual representation of the seats are a reasonable size and do not overlap. This may require adjustments to the X and Y size of the venue (Venue|Basic page) and/or the creation of additional screens (Venue|Screens page).
The following sections describe how to create and add seats to a screen:
