To create an event-specific gate/rule or to override an existing gate/rule: 1.Open Event Configuration from the Desktop. 2.Select the Events tab. 3.Search for and select the event that you want to work with. 4.Select the Gates tab. 5.If you want to add: •A new gate to the event: Click 'Add Gate'. •An event-specifc access rule to an existing gate: Select the gate from the dropdown, and click 'Override Venue Gate'. 6.Update the applicable options: a.Name: Enter a unique name for the gate. If you are overriding an existing gate, this field will be read-only. b.Enter Into Zone: Optionally, select the zone that the scanned ticket will allow access to, whether it is being scanned in or out. If you do not select a zone, tickets can be scanned into any zone. Customers cannot be scanned into the same zone twice unless they are scanned out of it first. c.Allows Scan In Select this check box if you want to allow tickets to be scanned into the gate. d.Allows Scan Out Select this check box if you want to allow tickets to be scanned out of the gate. e.Allows Re-Entry Select this check box if you want to allow tickets to be scanned in or out of the gate multiple times. f.Do not print/assign this gate: Select this check box if you do not want to allow the gate to be printed on the physical ticket. 7.Optionally, you can specify which rows, seats and even price types within a section can use a particular gate. a.Click 'Add Rule'. b.Define the access rule that you want to apply to the gate: i.Start Time Offset: Defines the time frame before the 'Start Date/Time' (on the Events|Basic page) that the gate can be accessed. ii.End Time Offset: Defines the time frame after the 'End Date/Time' (on the Events|Basic page) that the gate can be accessed. iii.Price Type: Defines the price types(s) that can will be able to access the gate. iv.Sections: Defines the section(s) that can will be able to access the gate. v.Row Start: Defines the first row that the rule will apply to. vi.Row End: Defines the last row that the rule will apply to. vii.Seat Start: Defines the first seat that the rule will apply to. viii.Seat End: Defines the last seat that the rule will apply to. c.For every access rule that you want to add to the gate, repeat the process from Step 8a. 8.For each gate that you want to add, repeat the process from Step 5. 9.For each venue gate that you want to update, repeat the process from Step 6. 10.Click 'Apply'. 11.Click 'OK'. |
You cannot completely delete a gate that has been configured against a venue; however, you can modify venue gates and their access rules to essentially disable them. To delete an event-specific gate or access rule: 1.Open Event Configuration from the Desktop. 2.Select the Events tab. 3.Search for and select the event that you want to work with. 4.Select the Gates tab. 5.If you want to delete: •The entire gate: Select the 'del?' check box next to the gate(s) that you want to delete, and click 'Update Details'. •If you want to delete an access rule: a.Select the gate with the rule that you want to delete. b.Select the 'del?' check box next to the access rule(s) that you want to delete. 6.Click 'Apply'. 7.Click 'OK'. |
