Fundraising goals can be defined on funds, programs, campaigns and appeals. The steps below do not specifically outline the process of setting goals on funds (Funds|Details page), but the procedure is identical.
To set a fundraising goal:
1.Open Funds Management from the Desktop.
The Programs|Search page appears.
2.Search for and select the program that you want to apply a goal to.
The Programs|Program page appears.
3.If you want to apply a goal to an existing campaign or appeal:
a.Select the campaign from the campaigns listed on the right-hand side of the programs section.
The Programs|Campaigns page appears.
b.Select the appeal from the appeals listed on the right-hand side of the campaigns section.
The Programs|Appeals page appears.
4.Click 'Add Goal'.
•Date: Click to select the date that you want to reach the goal.
•Amounts: Enter the monetary amount that you want to raise.
•Count: Enter the number of donations that you want to receive to reach your goal.
•Expenses: Enter the monetary amount that you will be spending to reach your goal (printing costs, telemarketing).
•Optionally, you can distribute the goal over the course of a number of months. In most cases, goals on funds and programs will not be distributed, but goals on campaigns and appeals might be.
To distribute a goal:
a.Click 'Monthly Distribution'.
The Monthly Distribution window appears.
If goals have already been set against the program, campaign, appeal or fund, all of the completed fields will be populated with the total values that appear in the blue header row.
b.Total Goal Amount: Enter the total monetary amount that you want to raise over the course of the defined months.
c.Total Goal Count: Enter the total number of donations that you want to receive to reach your 'Total Goal Amount'.
d.Total Goal Expenses: Enter the total monetary amount that you will be spending to reach your goal (printing costs, telemarketing).
e.Start Date: Click to select the date that you want to start the monthly goal distribution from.
f.Over How Many Months: Enter the number of months that you want to distribute the 'Total Goal Amount', 'Total Goal Count' and 'Total Goal Expenses'.

Caution
If goals have already been set, on the goals section of the page, the information entered in the Monthly Distribution window will overwrite them.

g.Click 'OK'.
If the 'Total Goal Amount', 'Total Goal Count' and/or 'Total Goal Expenses' cannot be evenly divided by the number of months that the goal is distributed across, the remainder will be added to the last month.
5.Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the program, campaign, appeal or fund was updated.
6.Click 'OK'.
