A hold type is applied to a seat or set of seats to give them special status (performer hold, accessible seating holds). These seats can only be accessed by roles that have permission, generally for the purpose of selling them to customers who meet specific criteria. You can further grant access to held seats using promotions.
Once the hold types legend has been created:
•The hold type(s) can be set on events.
•The hold type’s colour represents the held seats on seat maps.
•The hold type’s label is used to represent the zone on monochrome seat chart printouts in an alphanumeric format, rather than colour-coded.
•Only roles associated with the hold type will be able to sell or change the held seat.
•If a hold type is associated with a promotion, only those customers with the code will be able to purchase the held seat.
•If the same promotion is assigned to seats on hold and seats not on hold, best available will only search for seats that are on hold.
Caution Modifying an existing hold type will have an immediate effect on any events using the hold type. |
