Before you can create a hold type, ensure you have:
•Created roles which can access the hold type. If these have not been created, you can assign them at any time.
•Created promotions which will be assigned to the hold type, if applicable. If these have not been created, you can assign them at any time.
To create a new hold type:
1.Open Legends from the Desktop.

The Hold Types|Details page appears.
4.Enter the details of the hold type:

b.Colour: Click to select a colour to represent the hold type.
When creating your hold type colour scheme, consider the venue’s background image so that seats within this zone are clearly visible against the background image.
c.Displayed Label - English: Enter the name that you want to display to customers.
If you use multiple languages, you can add a name for each language.
d.Value: Enter a numerical value for the new hold type.
This value is used for sorting the hold types when displayed.

g.Message: Enter a message that will be displayed in the Desktop when seats within the hold type are selected (obstructed view or accessibility seating messages).
h.Promo Codes: To grant access to the hold type using a promotion, click to search for a promotion.
Hint To enable access to a hold type through the use of a promotion, the promotion must also be assigned to the applicable role(s) on the price chart as well. |
Caution If the same promotion is assigned to seats on hold and seats not on hold, best available will only search for seats that are on hold. |
5.Specify which roles can sell seats associated with this hold type (Sell Only Roles) and which roles can sell and use the hold type (Sell and Use Roles) by selecting them from the 'Available Roles' field and clicking the corresponding '>>' button.
These fields override any 'Promo Code' you have assigned. Holds are available to these roles whether or not the promotion code was activated.
6.Click 'Create'.
A window confirms that the hold type was created.
7.Click 'OK'.
