Seat maps enable you to provide a visual representation of your venue or event’s seat layout. By default, a venue’s seat map is defined for all events associated with the corresponding venue.
You can add seat maps to your site as either static background images or pick-a-seat images. Static background images merely provide an outline of your venue, while pick-a-seat images enable customers to select their seats directly. Regardless of the type of set map you are providing, you must associate this image with the corresponding venue or event.
If you do not specify an image, the following occurs for:
•General admission events, the seat map and the header, on both the select seats and confirm seats pages do not render. The 'View Seats' button does not appear on the shopping cart page.
•Pick-a-seat enabled events, the pick-a-seat image appears, without the background image.
To enable customers to view your seat map online:
1.Save your seat map image in .JPG format.
2.Add the seat map image to the venue or event:

Venue seat map images are used as the default venue image for all of the corresponding events.

Caution
This image must not exceed 500 x 500 pixels in size.

To add an online seat map image with a venue:
1.Open Event Configuration from the Desktop.
2.Select the Venue tab.
The Venue|Search page appears.
3.Search for and select the venue that you want to work with.
The Venue|Basic page appears.
4.Complete the following:
a.Overview Image: Click to select an image. If you want to use an online image, enter the absolute URL (including https:// or http://).
b.Overview X-Size: Specify the width of the image in pixels.
c.Overview Y-Size: Specify the height of the image in pixels.
5.Click 'Apply'.
6.Online users can now view this venue’s layout for all of this venue’s events.

Event Pick-a-Seat Images

Caution
The seating arrangement you define for an event, cannot vary from the seating arrangement you define for your venue. If your venue’s seating arrangement varies depending upon the event type (e.g if the same arena is used for basketball and hockey), you must create separate seating arrangements.

If you have the same seat map image for all events, add the image to the venue
To add an online seat map image with a specific event:
1.Open Event Configuration from the Desktop.
2.Select the Events tab.
The Events|Search page appears.
3.Search for and select the event that you want to work with.
The Events|Basic page appears.
4.Complete the following:
a.Alternate Overview Image: Click to select an image. If you want to use an online image, enter the absolute URL (including https:// or http://).
b.Alternate Overview X-Size: Specify the width of the image in pixels.
c.Alternate Overview Y-Size: Specify the height of the image in pixels.
5.Click 'Apply'.
Online users can now view this event’s seat map.
