You can enable pick-a-seat sales, allowing your customers to:
•Purchase seats directly, using the mapSelect.asp page
•View available seats
•Obtain information regarding selected seats, such as, pricing
To allow customers to select their own seats you must first add an image to your venue/event.

Before customers can select seats using pick-a-seat, you must enable mapSelect.asp page. By default, all registered online users are assigned to the WebSales group.
To enable members of the WebSales group to view pick-a-seat enabled images:
1.Open Application Security from the Desktop.
2.Select the Group tab.
The Group|Search page appears.
3.Search for and select the WebSales group.
The Group|Basic page appears.
4.Select the Content tab.
The Group|Content page appears.
5.Select the Online property.
Content currently visible to registered online users appear highlighted in blue.
6.Hold CTRL and select mapSelect.
7.Click 'Apply'
A window confirms that the group was updated.
8.Click 'OK'.
Customers can now select their own seats for the event using pick-a-seat.

Information
To change the seat icon (image that appears on showSeats.asp), the icon must be stored in the UI\Online\Branding folder for the specific site. The folder will be managed by the URL defined for the site. To be used directly by the application and the particular site, name the appropriate seat icon image seat_icon.gif. This image will be picked up by the application. For more information, refer to Managing Sites.

By configuring pick-a-seat images for an event, you allow customers to purchase seats directly for a particular event. Pick-a-seat images are generated automatically, using the corresponding event’s 'Alternate Detailed Image'.
To enable pick-a-seat for a specific event:
1.Open Event Configuration from the Desktop.
2.Select the Events tab.
The Events|Search page appears.
3.Search for and select the event that you want to work with. For more information, refer to .
The Events|Basic page appears.
4.In the event data section, hold CTRL and select Enable Pick-a-Seat in the 'Options' field.
5.Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the event was updated.
6.Click 'OK'.
Customers can now select seats for the event using pick-a-seat.
