Promotions offer a means to present customers, employees or partners with free or discounted admissions or other incentives.

Promotions can be activated in two ways:

Promotion: If the promotion does not have an access code, only customers with the promotion on a benefit can access the item.

For example, offering members-only events or exclusive members-only pricing. Once the customer is added to an order, the promotion is automatically available.

Promotion Access Codes: If the promotion has an access code, customers/staff must enter the promo code to access the item.

The promotions on benefits/memberships are activated as soon as the customer logs in, is loaded in the Desktop, or when the membership is added to an order.

Multiple promotions can be applied at one time.

Promotions and promo codes enhance and expand searches and unlock items that would not be available otherwise.

Promotions can be applied to:

Articles

Bundles

Gifts/donations (a promotion can be set up so that should a customer donate $X it would unlock a promotion giving the customer access to other things like discounts).

Hold Types

Miscellaneous Items

Events

Price Charts

Store Value Items

Promotions can be used to provide:

Discounted admission prices for specific price types.

Access to special seating, pricing, events, bundles, items and delivery methods.

Restrict access to specific payment methods (AMEX-only presales).

Promotions can also be used to expose delivery and payment methods that would not normally be available to customers. These delivery and payment methods are defined during the promotion's creation.

If a customer has an active promotion but selects the fully priced admission, the better price (for the price zone/type combination) will automatically be selected. The repricing is triggered when an admission is added to an order through the seat map or best available and when a customer is added to an order or a specific order line item (an admission customer).
