If you have migrated from a previous version where the widgets did not have the 'Context' dropdown, the widgets will need to be recreated to support the 'Context' types.

Each of the widget parameter fields has a corresponding 'Context Type' dropdown associated with it. These dropdowns allow you to pull information into the widgets in the same way that they allow you to pull information into the article itself.

The following example illustrates how to use context types to pull information into the Google Maps widget.

This example also assumes that you have entered the following information:

The latitudinal coordinates of the venue in the Event Configuration - Venue|Basic page's 'Latitude' field.

The longitudinal coordinates of the venue in the Event Configuration - Venue|Basic page's 'Longitude' field.

For information on finding the latitude information for a location, refer to Inserting the Google Maps Widget.

1.Open Content Management from the Desktop.

2.Select the Articles tab.
The Articles|Search page appears.

3.Search for and select the article that you want to work with.
The Articles|Basic page appears.

4.Select the Text tab.
The Articles|Text page appears.

5.Click 'Insert Widget'.

6.Select Google Maps Widget from the dropdown.
The Google Maps dialog box appears.

7.Select latitude from the dropdown next to the 'Latitude Override' field.

8.Select longitude from the dropdown next to the 'Longitude Override' field.

9.Complete the rest of the fields as applicable.

10.Click 'Insert Widget'.
The Google Maps widget is inserted in the article text.

11.Click 'Apply'
A window confirms that the article was updated.

12.Click 'OK'.

13.Open Event Configuation from the Desktop.

14.Select the Events tab.
The Events|Search page appears.

15.Search for and select the event that you want to work with.
The Events|Basic page appears.

16.Click the magnifyingGlass-7.X next to the 'URL for Published Event' field.

17.Search the article that you add the Google Map widget to.

18.Click 'Apply'.

When the article is loaded online via a more info link, the latitude and longitude information of the venue associated with the event will automatically be pulled into the widget, and the appropriate location/map will be displayed. The article can now be added to any applicable events, preventing you from having to create a separate article for each one.
