The Real Time Access Control report displays the number of tickets scanned for a range of events, users, sections, gates, rows and dates. Totals are displayed for those tickets scanned in, out, and re-entered as well as for scanning failures. The resulting output can be displayed with or without detail. For more information on internal gates, refer to Access Control.

This report could be used to report the status of tickets scanned, by event in real time.

Information

If your venue is configured for internal and external gates, the ticket status only changes when the ticket holder is scanned in and out of an external gate.

The following table describes the report criteria.

Venue

Filters the report by one or more venue selections.

Series

Filters the report by the 'Series Name' defined on the Event Configuration - Events|Basic page.

Event Code

Filters the report by a specific event.

Miscellaneous Item

Filters the report by a specific miscellaneous item.

Scanning Date Format

Specifies the date to use for the report:

Date Range

Previous 7 Days (excluding today)

Today

Yesterday

Scanned From

If you are entering a date range, this is the date from which data will be included in the report. This date is inclusive where the starting time will be 0:00:00 on the selected date.

Any value entered into this field will only apply if Date Range is used.

Click calendarIcon-7.X to select a date or durationIcon-7.X to select a duration.

Scanned To

If you are entering a date range, this is the date to which data will be included in the report. This date is inclusive where the end time will be up to 23:59:59 on the selected date. Any value entered into this field will only apply if Date Range is used.

Output Columns

Enables you to include or exclude any or all of the following data: Gate; Row; Section; User Name.

Advanced Section

The following criteria is available in the advanced section:

Criteria

Description

Events From

Filters for those events that occur on or after the date entered.

Your entry will be ignored if you do not enter an entry for Events To date.

Events To

Filters for those events that occur on or before the date entered.

Your entry will be ignored if you do not enter an entry for Events From date.

User Name

Filters by the selected users.

Click magnifyingGlass-7.X to search for a user.

This is the user who scanned the ticket.

Section

Filters the report by a section in the venue.

Mark Description

Filters results by text marked on a ticket when scanned.

 

Output

The first part of the report displays the number of tickets scanned or failed to scan by user, mark description, gate, section and row depending on the columns selected as criteria. The second part of the report displays the number of tickets yet to be scanned for the selected event(s).

The following table describes the report’s output:

Column

Description

User Name

The scanner’s user and login name.

This is only displayed if included in the report’s Output Columns.

Mark Description

The description configured for the scanner, if any.

This only displayed if included in the report’s Output Columns.

Gate

The gate configured for the scanner, if any.

This is only displayed if included in the report’s Output Columns.

Section

The ticket’s section.

This is only displayed if included in the report’s Output Columns.

Row

The ticket’s row.

This is only displayed if included in the report’s Output Columns.

Scanned In

The number of tickets scanned in.

Scanned Out

The number of tickets scanned out.

If your venue is configured for internal and external gates, the ticket status only changes to Used (Out) if the ticket holder is scanned out of an external gate.

Re-Entered

The number of tickets which have re-entered, that is exited and re-entered the venue.

If your venue is configured for internal and external gates, the ticket status only changes to Re-entered if the ticket holder is scanned out of an external gate and then scanned in again.

In Venue

The number of tickets holders currently in the venue.

If the ticket holder is not scanned out, they will still appear as being in the venue.

Failures

The number of scanning failures, such as:

Ticket number does not exist: An invalid ticket number was scanned.

Unable to mark ticket - ticket is already taken: Ticket has already been scanned IN or OUT.

Ticket does not belong to any of the selected events: The ticket number is valid but not for event(s) selected.

Unable to mark ticket(s) - Incorrect gate: An attempt was made to scan a ticket through a gate which the ticket is not allowed access.
