Creating a Price Chart

 


 

Before You Begin

Before you can create a price chart, ensure you have:

Created price zones and price types.

Created roles that can access the price chart in Application Security.

Created charges, if applicable, and have planned out how to apply the charge.

Created promotions, if applicable.

Creating a Price Chart

To create a new price chart:

1.Open Event Configuration from the Desktop.

2.Select the Price Charts tab.
The Price Charts|Search page appears.

3.Click 'Create New'.
The Price Charts|Basic page appears.

4.Complete the following:

a.Name: Enter a name that best describes the new price chart.

b.Description: Enter a description to identify the type of chart being created.

c.Short Description: Enter a short description to identify the type of chart being created.

d.Price Zones: Select the price zone(s) that you want to associate to the price chart in the price zones section.

5.Select the Pricing tab.
The Price Charts|Pricing page appears.

6.Click 'Add Price Row'.
A new price row appears.

a.Complete the following:

i.Price Types: Select the price type(s) that you want to associate with the price chart.

ii.Roles: Select the role(s) that you want to associate with the price chart.

iii.Promotion: Grants access to the price using a promotion.
Click magnifyingGlass-7.X to search for a promotion.

1.If the promotion does not have an access code, only customers with the promotion on a benefit can access the price.

2.If the promotion has an access code, customers/staff must enter the promo code to access the price.

iv.Price Zones: Enter the monetary value of a single admission for each applicable price zone.

Each price row must have a unique combination of 'Price Types', 'Roles' and 'Promotion Code' selected.

7.For every price row that you want to add to the price chart, repeat the process from Step 6.

8.Select the Charges tab.
The Price Charts|Charges page appears.

9.Click 'Add Charge Row'.
A new charge row appears.

10.Complete the following:

a.Charge: Select the charge that you would like to add.

b.Price Types: Select the price type(s) that you would like to apply the charge.

c.Promotion: If you added a promotion to the price you are adding the charge to, click magnifyingGlass-7.X to search for the promotion.

d.Calculation: Select the charge calculation that you would like to use:

i.Order: The charge is raised at the order level for each admission triggering the charge until the limit is reached, if a limited has been defined.

ii.Event: The charge is raised at the event level for each admission triggering the charge until the limit is reached, if a limit has been defined.

iii.Additional Ticket: The charge is raised at the admission level in addition to the price of the admission.

iv.Included Ticket: The charge is raised at the admission level. The charge is calculated on the net value of the item either as a fixed amount or a percentage rate that contributes to the amount of the item.

v.Inside Ticket: The charge is raised at the admission level. The charge is calculated on the amount of that item either as a fixed amount or percentage rate that contributes to the amount of the item.

11.For every charge that you want to add to the price chart, repeat the process from Step 10.

12.Select the Assignments tab.
The Price Charts|Assignments page appears.

13.Click 'Add Event'
A new event row appears.

14.Complete the following:

a.Event: Click magnifyingGlass-7.X to search for the events that you would like to assign to the price chart.

b.Start Date: Click calendarIcon-7.X to select the date when the assignment begins.

c.End Date: Click calendarIcon-7.X to select the date when the assignment ends.

d.For every event row that you want to add, repeat the process from Step 23.

15.Click 'Create'.
A window confirms that the price chart was created.

16.Click 'OK'.
